Article 1: Name
The name of this kinship/community will be called “Lions of Judah” (aka LOJ) which was founded on 4/12/2007 by Tane and Reggit. The community’s name comes from Revelation 5:5 referring to Jesus as the “the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah.” Because we the righteous are called as bold as lions (Proverbs 28:1), and because we are now grafted onto the branch of Christ (the tribe of Judah)(Romans 11:17), we consider ourselves the Lions of Judah.
Article 2: Who We Are
The Lions of Judah is non-denominational/interdenominational community in the MMORPG gaming world.
Article 3: Purpose/Mission
It is the sole purpose of The Lions of Judah to glorify God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in all that we do, say, or think.
We also desire to create a "clean" and "safe" environment for likeminded Christians to enjoy MMORPG's in general. Within this this environment, it is our intention to seek fellowship with all other Christian believers that are present in all MMORPG's. By fellowshipping, we hope to promote spiritual edification and worship in our daily lives. This is an environment we will persistantly pursue, and foster within LOJ.
It is also our intention to not only preach and teach the Word to the saints, but also to the whole world, specifically those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe it is of the utmost importance to seek and save the lost through evangelism in our daily lives by use of biblical methods. This is done partly by being an example and partly by word of mouth. We consider biblical evangelism to be the following:
- To give an awareness of sin, by use of the moral law of God, the Ten Commandments, to an unregenerate sinner. The use of the moral law of God will awaken the sinner’s conscious and give them a conviction of their personal transgressions.
-
Once the individual(s) has understanding of sin, we are to give reason and understanding to the unregenerate that it is appointed to them to die and then appear before God’s judgment seat at an unknown time in their life. It is at this judgment seat that they will be found guilty before God in his heavenly court if they are found unrepentant and not forgiven.
-
It is then appropriate to give the unregenerate the implications and consequences of their sin before God. Being found guilty and condemned by God will lead them to the eternal place of Hell where they will suffer for their wrong for an eternity.
-
Following this, if it is evident that the unregenerate has understood all of the above and is showing signs of contrition, even slightly, the grace of Jesus Christ and the cross is to be given to them so that they may understand the full magnitude of the love of God towards them. It is imperative to let the individual(s) know that they are only forgiven if they turn to God, repent (that is turn away from) of their sin, ask for forgiveness, and trust in the blood of the Christ and Christ alone.
-
If the individual(s) has done all of the following, it is then necessary that we encourage them to read their Bible daily seeking after God’s Will and truth, to join in the fellowship of the saints, and to glorify God, Son, and Spirit in all that they do.
Subsection A:
Forum Board
The forum board is place for great opportunities to communicate with other Christians regarding LOTRO/WoW/CoH and the Christian walk in general. As stated in Article 3 of our constitution, the goal of this community is to glorify God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit in all that we do, say, or think. We hope to accomplish this by creating a clean, safe environment for other Christians to come to for spiritual edification, etc. We also hope to seek and save the lost that are without Christ. We have come to find a bit of tension between these two sub-goals of seeking and saving the lost and ministering to other Christians on our forum. It has been decided however by the leadership of this community that the following is the necessary guidelines to be followed regarding our forum board chat.
The forum board as stated is a place for Christians, specifically for LOTRO/WoW/CoH, to come together and discuss items concerning MMORPG's or their Christian walk in general. The forum will not be a place for non-Christians to come on and attack the faith at will, but will become a place for Christian ministry. It is to be “safe haven” from the world. Evangelism however is not ousted because of this decision. Instead, evangelism will be focused outside with little to none on the forum boards mainly because the forum will be for Christians. Please understand that we are not saying evangelism is not good, evangelism is so very important, but we want to avoid any confrontations that entail attacking of the Christian faith, mockery, belligerency, arrogance, and anything else that breaks our Code of Conduct/Constitution or the administration finds unfitting for a Christian ministry forum board. We make this the official stand of the forum board administrators at this current time as we seek to glorify God in all that we do, say, or think.
Any posts on the forum that break the Code of Conduct or Constitution will be reviewed by the administrators and leaders of this community and appropriate action will follow. All posts are also under the supervision and discretion of the administrators.
Article 4: Statement of Faith/Doctrine
We The Lions of Judah understand that any doctrinal statement of faith is but a human fallible attempt to systematize the deep truth and divine revelation of God. However, we still feel it is very important to have such a statement to give understanding of what we believe. Adhering to all the following statements is necessary for membership in this community.
Section 1: Holy Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority.
II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; 1 Corinthians 2:7-14
We believe that the Scriptures constitute the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
Matthew 5:18; 24:35; John 10:35; 16:12-13; 17:17; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21
Section 2: God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; three-in-one, co-equal, Trinitarian.
Hebrews 9:14; Matthew 3:16-17; I Corinthians 8:6
We believe that God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, is the one who orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace. He is the Creator of all things and as the only all-powerful ruler in the entire universe; He is sovereign over all of creation, of providence, and of redemption.
Psalm 145:8-9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Genesis 1:1-31; Ephesians 3:9; Psalm 103:19; Romans 11:36
Section 3: Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, has all the divine qualities, and in these He is coequal, consubstantial, and coeternal with the Father. We believe that God the Father created according to His will that through His Son, Jesus Christ, by whom all things continue in existence. We believe that in the incarnation Christ surrendered only the certain parts of deity (calling upon legions of angels, no bound by time or human characteristics) but nothing of the divine essence, either in degree or kind.
John 10:30; 14:9; John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:2
Section 4: Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is the life of the believer, and He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.
Genesis 1:2; John 14:16-17; John 16:7-14
Section 5: Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned in the garden, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word and deed.
Genesis 1:26-27; Ezekiel 18:4; I Corinthians 15:22; Romans 5:12, 14, 17; Romans 6:23
Section 6: Salvation
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him, repent of their personal sin, and ask for forgiveness, are justified on the grounds of His shed blood
I John 4:10; I Corinthians 15:3; Matthew 20:28; I John. 2:2; I Peter 1:18-19; Romans 5:8-9
We believe that regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which a Christian life is given, not of the doing of humanity.
John 3:3-7; Titus 3:5
Section 7: Justification
We believe that humanity is only justified before God by the act of God which He declares righteous those who, through faith in Christ, repent of their sins and confess Him as sovereign Lord.
Romans 8:33; Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 11:18; Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Isaiah 55:6-7; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 12:3; 2 Corinthians 4:5; Philippians 2:11
Section 8: Santification
We believe that every believer is sanctified (set apart) unto God by justification and is therefore declared to be holy and is therefore identified as a saint, also known as justifying grace. This sanctification is positional and instantaneous and should not be confused with life-long sanctification, but more instead with justification.
Acts 20:32; 1 Corinthians 1:2, 30; 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 2:11; 3:1; 10:10, 14; 13:12; 1 Peter 1:2
We believe that there is a work of the Holy Spirit known as progressive/life-long sanctification by which the state of the believer becomes, through obedience to God’s Word and the empowering of the Holy Spirit, more holy and more Christ-like. Sinless perfection however in this life is impossible.
John 17:17,19; Romans 6:1-22; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4; 5:23
Section 9: The Church
We believe that those who have their faith in Jesus Christ are by the power of the Spirit placed in the Body of Christ, known as the church, which is the bride of Christ. Christ is the head of this body.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-32; Revelation 19:7-8; Ephesians 1:22; 4:15; Colossians 1:18
We believe that the body of Christ, the Church, has the mission to preach the Gospel to the entire world, and that all of its workings are supported by the offerings of the believers and by the power of God.
Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-16; I Corinthians 16:2; II Corinthians 8 & 9
Section 10: Sacraments
We believe that as one of the sacraments and the example Christ set for us, that all believers should be baptized by water symbolizing their coming into the body, being forgiven and repenting of sin, and joining Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection.
Romans 6:3-5; Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:36-39; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; John 5:24
We believe that the Lord’s Supper, Holy Communion, is another sacrament that should be followed by Christ’s example commemorating the Lord’s death until he comes again. The Lord’s Supper is open to all regenerate believers in fellowship.
I Corinthians 11:23-32; Luke 22:14-20
Section 11: Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into Heaven and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us.
Hebrews 1:3; I Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 7:24-8:6
Section 12: Return of Christ
We believe in that blessed hope, the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Matthew 24:27-31, 36; Matthew 25:31; Colossians 3:4; I Thessalonians 3:13; Jude 14; Zechariah 14:4-5
Section 13: Judgment
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the regenerate and unregenerate, the great judgment seat of Christ, the everlasting conscious and physical suffering of the lost, and the joy of the saved, which demand a literal Heaven and Hell.
Hebrews 9:27; Acts 24:15; I Corinthians 15:12-58; II Corinthians 4:14; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Rev. 20:11-15; Rev. 21:2-22:5
Section 14: Devil
We believe in the existence of a personal devil, the old deceiver, also known as Satan, who is the Father of lies and who is still working in the world to destroy the souls of all people, and that he and all his angels will suffer in Hell along with all unregenerate individuals.
Isaiah 14:12-14; John 8:44; I John 3:8; I Peter 5:8; Rev. 20:10
